| Due
to the severe weather this week and promised bad rain
for the weekend there has been a blanket call off for
all matches in the county. This however did not affect
us as we had no matches scheduled. There is u12 training
at 2 down on the astro turf and u16 follows at 3:30. The
club is prepared for a lot of cancelled matches in the
coming month as the full Irish weather comes into swing. No
games again this weekend for the club unusually. Training for u12 continues
Wednesday 6:30-7:30. Players are asked to bring a full
change of clothes and come to training with a coat and
hat as the week will no doubt be bitterly cold. U14 is Tuesday 6-8 while u18 training resumes at 7:30
Wednesday evening. There will be u16 training on
Thursday at half 5 provided the astro turf is free.
There will be no training for u12s or u16s this weekend
coming as I will be away at a sports first aid course in
Sligo. I will be in touch with players regarding the
following weeks training arrangements.
A huge thank you to the people
of Ballymote who contributed generously to the annual
flag day on Saturday which raises vital funds for the
club. Also the players themselves who participated
deserve a big pat on the back as they did the club proud
on a rain-soaked miserable day.
