| Due
to the once again horrific weather conditions all games
in Connacht and probably across the country were called
off. Despite some pitches being playable, travelling to
them was also an obstacle and the right decision was
taken. Ballymote were supposed to have u12, u14 and an
u18 game but these have all being postponed and will be
re-scheduled in the future. This
weekend coming sees a busy Saturday for the club with
almost a full bill of health. Players should take notice
that there is a strong possibility that the following
games will be called off. The u14s are the first team in
action taking on Dromore Villa at 12 in Brother Walfrid
Park. Manager Michael McMorrow will contact players
around the arrangements for this game. U16s follow next
with their second last group game against Calry Bohs at
home at 2. Players are asked to be down early at 1 o
clock with 2 euro and their usual gear. U12s are the
final team in action at 3:45 on Sligo Rovers astro turf.
Bus is leaving at 2:15 players are asked to bring 3 euro
and their usual gear. Training for u12 continues
Wednesday 6:30-7:30. U14 is Tuesday 6-8 while u18 training resumes at 7:30
Wednesday evening.
A huge thank you to the people
of Ballymote who contributed generously to the annual
flag day on Saturday which raises vital funds for the
club. Also the players themselves who participated
deserve a big pat on the back as they did the club proud
on a rain-soaked miserable day.
